INJONGO Programs and Services
For Children and Adults
Injongo Educare Centre is a Non-Profit Organisation with a vision to help building a solid foundation of self- esteem, confidence and overall health and well- being for each child, which will serve to enhance the enjoyment and productivity of their school years, ultimately allows them to fulfil their individual potential into adulthood.
The centre is embarking in lot of projects/programs, beside the main programme which is to take care of children from 3months to 6 years there are some afterschool programme and project which include tutoring, music, drama, dance and arts and culture. The centre also has a food gardening project and a sewing project. The projects/programs are design to empower the child mind and the environment that the child lives within.

Sewing Project
Community Development
We have a sewing project that help woman around our community to gain and improve their skills in sewing. Woman around gather and train each other on basic sewing skills. We hoping in the coming years we will have an accredited trainer who will train this woman so as they can have an accredited certificates
After-school Programme
Activities for Everyone to Enjoy
We have extra-mural activities we host for children afterschool and especial on holidays to keep them out of the streets. Our Afterschool programme consist of assistance in homework’s, little bit of drama and music. We also help teach our children and youth basic computer skills and how to do research on the internet.

Sewing Project in Action
We believe that in our modern world, sewing has become a lost art. As we are passionate about arts and community development, we want to help change that. That’s why we need your help in developing this sewing project to a proper sewing school here in our Community Mfuleni. The pictures on the side are showing some of the work ladies have done so far.
This school will be set up like a Stokvel, where anyone can buy a membership, take individual classes, or bring in their own projects. It doesn’t matter if you have advanced sewing skills or if you’ve never even touched a sewing machine, anyone can come and learn stitching, mending, alterations, clothing construction. Whatever you want to make — we all are going to make it happen.
Computer Skills
We help teach children and youth basic computer skills and how to do research on the internet. As you can see on the pictures we do not have enough equipment but we try with what we have to at least teach them basic skills. We are using a USB Modem for internet which it only operate in one computer at a time but they take turns to use the internet. We also seek assistance for this project.
With your help you can make us achieve our goal of improving the projects we currently run. We are pleading with donors and funders especially those who fund in the area of community development and women empowerment to please assistance with donations to build a sewing school so that women in our community can gain skill and be able to put food on their tables.
